Antiques stolen from church near Wells

Police are asking second-hand shops and antique dealers to be vigilant after valuable 18th century furniture was stolen from a church near Wells.

Thieves forced their way into St Lawrence Church's vestry in Westbury-sub-Mendip stealing a chest, a table and two chairs.
The incident happened sometime between 7.30 pm on Sunday September 16 and 8.15 am on Monday September 17.
Anyone who has any information about this crime is asked to call Wells police on 101 or contact them via the crime reporting section on their website.
