The Wells Club have had to call off their Miller Cup trial at Binegar tomorrow because of a clash of dates with a four-wheel drive event, so it is a blank day for local two-wheel enthusiasts.
However, there are three events elsewhere in the West Country over the weekend.
The Camel Vale Club's Kernow Trophy event, near St Blazey, today is the more important of the three.
Eighty riders will contest the two-lap 24-section event in the Garker Valley including several times South West area champion Joe Baker, his cousins Nick and Jim and his uncle Ian, a former area champion.
Other top flight aces include George and Rob Pollard, George Edyvean and reigning Cornwall Centre champion Ian Martin.
Tomorrow, most of the action in the Moretonhampstead Club's first trial of the year at North Bovey, while others will be staying in Cornwall overnight for the Camborne-Redruth Club's long-established Trispen trial at Gilbert's Coombe.
This event – and the Kernow – will count towards the Cornwall Centre Championship.
Today: Camel Vale MCC Kernow trial, Garker, Trethurgy near St Blazey, Cornwall (10am).
Tomorrow: Camborne-Redruth MCC Trispen trial, Gilbert's Coombe near Redruth (10.30am); Moretonhampstead MCC trial, Lettaford, North Bovey, Devon (11am).
