Barred pub chain back for another round

National pub-chain JD Wetherspoon is back for another round 12 months after having plans for a mega-pub in Wells turned down. The pub chain has been working on its new planning application for the Wells Emporium site in the Somerset city since its previous plans were rejected last September. Mendip district councillors threw out the plan last year claiming there was no need for a Wetherspoon chain pub in the city.
