Diamond Jubilee likely to be quiet in Wells?

I've noticed a lot of fuss on this website about the extent of the Jubilee celebrations that are envisaged to swamp the city on the weekend of the 2nd – 5th of June this year.
I was just wondering what you are expecting from the good residents of Wells that weekend? So there's the 4th & 5th as Bank Holidays which will mean a lie-in for some, but then what?!
Yes, we know that the traditional Wells May Day celebration has been offered up as a sacrifice to this event and now just a tiny version of the usual event will be taking place this Monday with a handful of old cars, a musical duo and some drummers judging by the flyers up around town.
The bands and larger attractions usually organised by Wells Action, will now be part of the Jubilee celebration on the Cathedral Green, but does anyone actually know what else is going on in the city? I don't know of anyone planning a street party, do you?
I looked back to the Golden Jubilee celebrations and as far as I could see The Queen visited the city in the May as part of her Jubilee tour; there was a BBC Music Live event; Fletcher House held a party; Wells Cathedral held a service for local dignitaries and most of the local schools held a Jubilee parties.
I would like to know who's feeling motivated to make the special effort this website seems to be expecting?!
