The Learning Disabilities Service and Somerset Skills & Learning event was held in the Portway Building Wells, and a total of 44 staff were presented with certificates.
Even some apprentices working for the council received an accolade.
A variety of awards were given out including the new Health and Social Care Diplomas, NVQ certificates and apprenticeships.
Councillor Christine Lawrence, the Council's Health and Adult Social Care chief, presented the awards alongside SCC leader Councillor John Osman.
She said: "I was honoured to be asked to make the presentations and I am proud of the achievements of these learners.
"Many of the employees have to juggle family commitments with studying and working. The County Council wanted to officially recognise their success which contributes to their valuable role in working with adults with learning disabilities across the whole of Somerset.
"Their achievements not only aid the individual learner but also result in improving the service to our users."
Councillor John Osman said: "It is fantastic to see so many employees within Social Care strengthen and develop their skills and knowledge.
"I am pleased at the commitment Somerset Learning Disability Services has in training and development, and the success of partnership working with Somerset Skills and Learning in introducing and delivering the new Health and Social Care Diplomas."
