Students at The Blue School, Wells, received outstanding results for their A-Levels this year with three students going on to study at Cambridge University.

With an impressive 98% pass rate, no wonder it's one of the top schools in the region. Alongside this, an excellent 59% of students received A* to B grades.

At Advanced level the pass rate was a whopping 100% in subjects such as Chemistry, History and Mathematics and the overall UCAS point score per subject entry was an impressive 94.

High achievers Jessica Fullman and May Ho received four A* grades. Jessica is going on to study Modern and Medieval Languages at the University of Cambridge and May will be attending Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry to study Medicine.

Other high fliers include Charlotte White, with three A*s and one A, and Katy Morgan, with 2 A*s and 2 As who will be joining Jessica at Cambridge University.

Steve Jackson, Head teacher at the Blue School said: "Our students are not only getting lots of points but they are getting them in the subjects preferred by Russell Group Universities.

"This is a significant advantage for our students as competition for places in selecting universities is tougher than ever and the fact that we consistently get the best results in the highest currency A-levels is clearly what students and parents are seeking.

"Our students and staff deserve great praise for these remarkable achievements."
