Wells Blue School students celebrate their GCSEs results
Wells Blue was the scene of relief for some and considerable jubilation for most as two years' study culminated in more record-breaking results for the school.
Every student WellsPeople spoke to, said they were intending to return to the Blue in September to study for A-Levels confirming the academic excellence the school offers. We spoke to a number of folks pictured in the gallery.
Image 1 features Megan Hennessey who was relieved to have passed maths and is going to study professional cooking next year to fulfil her desire of becoming a chef. She was inspired by her mother who ran a restaurant. With her is Natalie German who was delighted to see she had passed history and could now continue her studies to become a graphic designer.
Image 2 is of Emily Ruff and Harriet Bown who are both returning to the Blue to study A-levels in the autumn.
Image 3 depicts Alex Shaw (left) and Wilfred Armstrong (right) who were quite laid-back about their outstanding results. Wilfred achieved 6 A*'s, 4 A's and 2 B's and will now be studying A-levels to further him in his pursuit of becoming an architect. Alex achieved 9 A*'s and 1B this year and we believe he also had 2 CGSE's which he took the previous year like Wilfred. He is hoping to read Maths at Cambridge and has a very bright future.
Did you or you friends get some ace results worth shouting about? We'd love to hear from you – simply post your comments below.
