Wells people not fussed about Starbucks closure

Wells People have responded with mixed views to the Starbucks in the town centre closing down, but for the most part no-one seems too fussed.
Here are some of the responses we had from our twitter survey:
Matthew Green, @M_J_Green, from Wells, tweeted: "I've never been which probably says a lot."
@DavRberts added: "There are so many other great coffee shops in Wells, if it wasn't for Pickwicks I don't know what I'd do!!"
Nick (@heavysoulboy) contributed to the discussion by saying: "tbh, I've not darkened their door for a long time."
@SolidPM added: "Don't worry about Starbucks closing in Wells - @Greatshakesbar has AMAZING coffee!! #TryIt"
However we did receive a few responses from people who will miss the chain:
@grumpyofwells tweeted: "I'm going to miss my hazel nut soya latte and that's the truth..."
Karl Shoemark from Wells was also disappointed that the town would be losing Starbucks.
He tweeted: "Shame Starbucks is closing, they support a lot of community projects in Wells! The espresso is BEST in Wells also!"
Many Wells locals responded with ideas about what they would like to see in its place. Most seem to be gunning for another quaint local business rather than a national chain.
This tweeter begged just one thing: "Please not another optician or phone shop!"
What are your opinions? Any ideas about what should be sitting in Starbucks place? Could a local start-up business make it work financially in Wells Town Centre?
