The Regency Stages Rally will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 22 and 23, at the Bath and West Showground, near Shepton Mallet.
It will see a wide variety of cars tackle ten stages on the Tarmac of the showground, including two stages in the dark on the Saturday night, which will be followed by a firework display.
The entry list is still being finalised, but Wells interest will be focussed on the owner of Tuckers Fish and Shop, Sebastian Simeone, who will be tackling the event in a Ford Escort Mk2 with co-driver Tony Rendall.
Other notable entries include David Kynaston in his Audi A3, Karl Broad and Steve Furzeland, both in Subaru Impreza WRCs, and Duncan Holder in a Rover SD1.
Variation comes in the form of Dave Barbara in a four-wheel drive Alfa Romeo 33 P4, Nigel Mummery in a Ford Focus WRC, Gary Le Coadou in a Toyota Corolla WRC, Alan Thistlethwaite in an Aston Martin Rally GT, Guy Wigley in a Peugeot 306 Maxi Kit Car, Andy Phipp in a Ford Anglia 4x4 and Gary Nuttall in a Hyundai Accent WRC.
The rally, which is organised by the Weston-super-Mare Motor Club, is the first to be held at the showground.
There will be a designated spectator area with grandstand which promises to offer a perfect view plus a big screen to see the action on.
Tickets are priced at £15 for a Saturday or Sunday pass, or £20 for a weekend pass.
