Wells shop smashed open and burgled on Priory Road

Thieves smashed their way into a shop in Wells last week stealing money and silverware.
Between Thursday 28 February and Friday March 1 thieves smashed the front door of a shop on Priory Road, Wells to gain entry.
A till was forced open and a small amount of cash was taken from inside. The till drawer was later found discarded in St John's Street.
The thieves also stole silverware from the shop.
An investigation into the burglary is now taking place and Police are now appealing to the public for help in recovering the stolen money and identifying the person or people responsible.
