The world famous Wookey Hole Caves has introduced a brand new Witch's Grotto for this Halloween.
The Witch of Wookey
While grottos usually house a cheery, friendly Santa Clause bearing gifts of teddies and toy cars, this one is run by the resident Witch's spooky minions and the gifts might not be so nice!
The addition of the Witch's Grotto as well as a new Halloween Circus Show means management at the Somerset resort are expecting the holiday to be bigger and better than ever.
Daniel Medley, director at Wookey Hole Caves said: "Halloween is always a really popular time for us as the creepy atmosphere of the caves and our famous witch really lend themselves to the event.
"The cackles, dimly-lit corridors and the echoes of drips into the river is an experience that families won't forget. It's not too spooky for children though and for those who dare there is the eerie evening Ghost Tours, full of scares and jumps!
"The Witch's Grotto is going to be great; it's a really fun twist on grottos that children have seen before so I'm sure they'll love it."
Halloween at Wookey Hole Caves runs from Saturday 27 October to Sunday 4 November. During this time a special Halloween Circus Show will be performed by local children every day at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
The show features the witch herself as well as trapeze, silks, juggling, unicycling and magic.
Wookey Hole Hotel is just two miles from the medieval city of Wells and has a hotel providing overnight stays for families visiting the attraction, meaning a weekend break is affordable and great fun.
Daniel said: "We have over 20 indoor and outdoor attractions for all ages and we're doing a special ticket price for Halloween, so that families can visit for just £12 per person. This is great value for an attraction of our size; we look forward to seeing you soon!"
Tickets are just £12 per person and include entry to all the attractions and a free gift for children from the Witch's Grotto.
