The Bishop's Palace Gardens has undergone a tasteful revamp which can only serve to further establish its placing as a fabulous West Country attraction. The restaurant and gift shop look very classy now & sadly although I didn't have time to try the tasty-sounding meals on offer, I will be back soon to remedy this. The grounds themselves were as lovely as ever and I look forward to see how the new beds turn out.

The Bishop's Palace gardens offer a restful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of Wells Market Place. They are lovingly tended and are home to a number of spectacular trees. There are often sculpture exhibitions in the grounds and if you visit on the right day you can also watch croquet being played on the lawn. There is a gift shop with a lovely range of craft goods and a charming cafe for a spot of refreshment. There are many attractive offers for locals and a season ticket is a must.
