Wasn't it phenomenal?! I hope everyone enjoyed it & the minor inconvenience of shutting a few roads won't have caused too much disruption.

ReportIt was brilliant, everything I'd hoped for! The Old Bristol Hill climb was like being on the Alps, even with streakers and men in mankinis! I then headed to catch the closing ceremony and it was so nice to see so many people milling around, having a good time - I even saw Geraint Thomas in Princes Road car park. Who'd have thought an Olypic gold medallist would be just happy to chat to people in the bus station! Superb... roll on 2012, and fingers crossed for a return to Somerset for the race.

Wish I'd taken the day off now.
Managed to catch the whole thing on ITV4 last night which had some great aerial shots of Wells with the cyclists flying through.
They were a bit quicker cycling up the hill to The Hunter's than I normally am, even with the added prospect of a lovely pint of Butcombe at the end!
I didn't even hear about Gabriel Rasch crashing on the last corner until I watched it on TV later; even though I was watching it close by.
The crash in Langport looked spectacular on the TV too - it looked like Bibby's front wheel collapsed in the incident, but fair play to Geraint in finishing despite that!
Same here - what a disappointment for him! Nice photos by the way, did you go into the vip enclosure for them? Would have quite liked to hang around to see Ned Boulting interview Lars Boom but pint in the Kings Head sounded a better idea. Would recommend his book v highly http://tinyurl.com/6zccjz6
