I just saw this story (cut n pasted because I couldn't comment on it on the Journal's post) in a well-known red top who are hailing Luke Summerhayes, 21 as the 'Real Life Bananaman'! It goes to show that fame & notoriety could be waiting round every corner! A few extra helpings of brussel sprouts & he might have even taken to flying? :)

One shoplifter thought he was being a slippery customer when he ran from the Tesco store in Wells clutching his ill-gotten gains.

But when he glanced over his shoulder he saw he was being pursued – by a six-foot-tall banana.

Staff at Tesco had donned fancy dress for the night, and an assistant had decided that the giant banana skin had the right look.

One witness said: "The guy was a little the worse for wear, and he must have thought he was seeing things."

The giant banana brought down his man and he was taken back to the store.
