St John Ambulance First Aiders

St John Ambulance volunteers provide first aid cover at many public events across Wells and far beyond. Most notably this includes the stock car racing at Mendips Raceway and all the major Somerset carnivals as well as numerous events on the Cathedral Green. We meet up every Wednesday at 8pm until 9.30pm at the St John Ambulance HQ on Charter Way (behind the Wells Leisure Centre) to carry out training and conduct exercises.

We have a wide range of skills within our membership, from the basic first aider right up to nurses and doctors. You do have to be over 16 to become a St John Ambulance first aider but no prior first aid knowledge is required as full training will be given.
