Wells Leisure Centre has the facilities to transform your image

Well, we’ve already had our first decent taste of summer and been blessed with wall-to-wall blue skies.      I have found the joy to be rather short-lived though as the heat compelled me to discard layers of clothing. It gave me a bit of a shock when I noticed, pealing-off cardies, jersey tops and swapping combat trousers for a short skirt, that my figure wasn’t quite as I remembered it.

I was sure it used to go in somewhere, but careful scrutiny in the oft-ignored full-length mirror failed to show any inward curves whatsoever, but did reveal a whole lot of outwardness from the partially unrecognisable body looking back at me. I lay the blame at Butcombe’s door!

As panic slowly overtook me as I mentally counted the weeks until I was intending to wear my bikini, suffice to say it’s not long folks. Too short a time in which to rely on a salad-only diet, nope, I’m going to be forced to get some exercise in quick smart!

It is a great facility with a 25m pool with separate children’s area, a wide range of exercise classes, offer swimming lessons for all ages, a fully-equipped gym, spa including sauna, steam & solarium, friendly helpful staff, cafeteria, crèche, sports hall and personal training.

In the past I have really enjoyed regular workouts in the gym, Body Combat & Body Pump classes (while also proving that I have no talent for Step aerobics unless success is measured by how much you make your classmates roar with laughter?) The spa is also wonderfully relaxing and I have often had it to myself after a morning's training.
