    Recycling collections in action.
    Bank Holiday Monday 27 May moves all the week's recycling and rubbish collections one day later than usual, including Friday's pick-ups on Saturday 1 June. Recycling site timetables are unchanged so all sites are open Saturday 8am-4pm, Sunday 8am-1pm and Bank Holiday Monday 8am-7pm.

    Seven balls of fluff have been sighted on the Bishop's Palace Moat, in Wells. Resident swans Wynn and Brynn revealed seven cygnets to the world last week. The pair only nested at the Bishop's Palace in March and have set the record for bringing a family to the moat.
