GEMS Scrapstore - Grand Re-opening This Saturday!

GEMS Scrapstore & Play Resource Centre is pleased to announce it's grand re-opening this Saturday May 22nd from 10am - 4pm.

GEMS has recently relocated from Glastonbury to new premises in Wells.

Sitauted at 9a Market Street, just behind the bus stops at the bus

station (look for our new sign and large grey double doors), the

charity's new home is now bigger and better and able to offer more

wonderful resources for art, craft, education and play.

The new Lord Mayor of Wells will be officially opening the resource

centre at 10am and on offer during the day will be free art & craft

activities, face painting, refreshments and special offers on scrap and

memberships.

Also featuring on the day is an exhibition of sculptures by local

artist Chris Pilmore, whose work is featured at Glastonbury Festival.

Chris creates giant sculptures using recycled materials and there will

be a chance to view a huge dragon, macaws and more.
