World Cup fever about to hit Wells

It’s nearly time for the World Cup to kick-off and here at Wells People took it upon myself to go and sup a pint in each of central Wells’ local watering holes, so I could ask the landlords whether they’ll be showing the World Cup games to ensure you’re fully clued-up.

To enjoy some Wells community spirit with the beautiful game visit the pubs below
Sure enough, you can watch all the games at home on either ITV or BBC but for the genuine World Cup atmosphere, you can head down to any of these locals who have confirmed they will be showing them.
The Britannia Inn will be screening all games, as will the Crown and also the Kings Head which has installed a new function room upstairs with a huge projector screen and separate bar just for the event.
You can also catch all the action at the Rose & Crown, the Globe & the Sun Inn, also the Sherston (enclosed garden means the children won’t interrupt your viewing pleasure), the Cheddar Valley and the Mermaid.
Now you know where, here’s a couple of ‘whens’ to get you started:
England's World Cup campaign kicks off against the USA on Saturday June 12th at 7.30pm UK time.
Our second game is Algeria on Friday, June 18, ko also at 7:30.
If you have a traditional pub you always view the World Cup in / any stories or you run a pub in our area and are planning something special, we’d love to hear from you if.

I can't wait for the World Cup to start, it should be ace. Come on England! Thanks for the guide on which pubs are showing the games, think I'll check them all out over the tournament!
